There is nothing better than a plate of spaghetti with home-made meat sauce. BUT sometimes you just don’t have time for that or the ingredients.
Here is my cheap quick version:
- Fresh Angel Hair pasta (only because I prefer it over spaghetti noodles)
- Red Sauce (Marinara, Garlic Herb, Tomato and Basil, whatever you prefer)
- Sausage ( I used a local Colorado brand but any in the soft casing works)
- Olive Oil
- Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Frozen (shhh…yes frozen) garlic bread
Preheat your oven for the garlic bread…I always forget about the bread so don’t forget to follow the box instructions and put it in the oven to cook!
In 1 large pot boil water with a large pinch of salt to cook your pasta in.
Meanwhile, heat 1 tbsp. of olive oil on a large skillet pan on medium high. Take the sausage meat out of the casing and add to the skillet. Stir while cooking.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Once the sausage is cooked turn heat setting to low and add your pasta sauce. Stir continuously. Once the pasta is cooked stir it into the sauce/sausage pan then stir in cheese (I usually add 1/4 a cup and then top with cheese…we love cheese!).
Now serve and enjoy!
