A Deliciously Healthy Life

Life Travel

Breckenridge, CO

Breckenridge is one of my favorite mountain towns in Colorado. It’s easy to just walk down Main Street and eat and shop all day. Although there are also some amazing restaurants on some of the side streets as well. The skiing is great in the winter and there are tons and tons of hikes to enjoy in the summer! I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite places on Main Street to eat and shop, enjoy!

Favorite Breck Bites:

  1. The Canteen Tap House and Tavern: This is one of my favorite places, it’s great to just stop and grab a drink or for a full meal. Canteen has a great bar with tons of drinks, you can try many local brews or sip on your favorite cocktail. If you are feeling like having some fun, Canteen even has a shot-ski for you and your friends, so fun! I personally recommend their Charcuterie plate, Bloody Mary and the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup! Delicious! (Picture at the bottom of this blog).  208 N Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424
  2. Downstairs at Eric’s: A Family-friendly restaurant with delicious pub/comfort food. At Eric’s you can pretty much make any custom pizza you want ( I recommend the Garlic Crust!) the topping options are relatively endless. Eric’s also has great appetizers, like crispy wings and Jalapeno poppers. Now a heads up the wait can be extremely long, so be prepared or try to go during an off-time. Eric’s also has an arcade which is great for kids (and adults) if you are stuck waiting for a table. 111 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424
  3. Crepes A’ La Cart: Perfect for a sweet or savory quick bite to eat. The line can get long but its well worth the wait. The crepes are literally made in a cart, with a wide range of options. You can get a traditional Nutella-Strawberry crepe or go the savory route with a Pizza Crepe. There are tons of options and tons of toppings for a create-yourself crepe! The crepes are easy to eat on the go, but there is also a small outdoor seating area if you’d rather sit and eat. 307 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424
  4. The Blue Moose: A fantastic American Breakfast and Brunch spot! Warning: it is cash only but they do have an ATM inside the Restaurant. There are tons of options from Omelettes to Biscuits and Gravy to Pancakes. Plus, the drinks are pretty great too… I’m a sucker for a great Bloody Mary! 540 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424
  5. Columbine Cafe: Another great breakfast spot and like most popular restaurants in Breckenridge, it gets busy fast! They are known for their traditional breakfast and delicious sandwiches. I recommend the corned beef hash! Its made in-house and absolutely delicious! Columbine Cafe has a large menu filled with Egg Scrambles, Breakfast Burritos, Eggs Benedict and of course some healthier options as well! 109 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424
  6. Breckenridge Brewery & Pub:  Local Brewery featuring a bar and restaurant with pub food. Breckenridge Brewery has tap rooms in Denver also, you can do beer flights and taste an assortment of their beers, my personal favorites are the Avalanche Ale and Agave Wheat. They also have great food, including Green Chile Cheese Fries. This is more of a bar atmosphere, definitely a fun (packed) place to have a few beers! 600 South Main Street, Breckenridge, CO 80424
  7. Mountain Top Cookie Shop: I cannot visit Breckenridge without making a stop at this small cookies shop. The shop is really small but full of freshly made cookies. Plus you can buy 6 get 2 free! There are giant traditional cookies and some more unique flavors, plus they have cookie sandwiches which are absolutely to die for and dipped cookies.  This cookie shop has perfected the art of crunchy cookies with a soft gooey center! My favorites are the Turtle Cookie, Smores Dipped Cookie, and the Cookie Dough Delight Sandwich Cookie; which is 2 Chocolate Chip Cookies with Edible Cookie dough in between! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Yum! 128 S Main, Breckenridge, CO 80424
  8. Après Handcrafted Libations: This is a great laid-back whiskey bar. My Boyfriend and Dad love this place for the whiskey tastings! Apres also has craft beers and delicious cocktails and board games…. WIN WIN WIN!  130 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424

Favorite Breck Shops:

  1. Ruby Jane Boutique: It features an assortment of good from affordable clothing to designer clothing, like free people. Ruby Jane also has a large home goods section filled with Pinterest worthy decorations and household items. Ruby Jane also has a large assortment of Jewelry and the cutest Baby clothes I’ve ever seen. 232 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424
  2. Marigolds Farmhouse Funk & Junk: This shop features an arrangement of rustic items and vintage decor. From clothing to decorations, jewelry, and knick-knacks. It’s a fun store to explore and get lost in! The items are funky and fun and it has tons of great unique gift options. 215 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424
  3. Joy of Sox: Imagine a store filled with every type of sock imaginable. There are socks for Men, Women, and kids. You can get socks that feel like pillows on your feet or go for some funnier printed socks. Its such a fun store, and great in the winter when you need a little added warmth on your feet! 324 S Main St, Breckenridge, CO 80424
